Protection
Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created.
Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death.
Registry
Authority name: none. Authors and owners of copyright or related rights carry out protection of their rights on their own or by entrusting a collective management organization such as Copyright and Communication Consulting Agency/Latvian Authors Association - www.akka-laa.lv/en or Latvian Performers' and Producers' Association (LaIPA) - www.laipa.org/eng
