Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. However, voluntary registration is possible. 

Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death, and after his death, shall be transferred by inheritance, according to civil law, for a period of 70 years, regardless of the date on which the work was legally disclosed to the public. If there are no heirs, the exercise of these rights shall devolve upon the collective administration organization mandated by the author during his lifetime or, failing a mandate, to the collective administration organization with the largest membership in the area of creation concerned.
