Notes: country code top-level domain .YU (which had been used for Serbia and Montenegro) was removed from the DNS root on March 30, 2010, based on ICANN decision No. 07/79 of September 11, 2007. During the period 2008 – 2010 the owners of .YU domains had the possibility to transform such domains to .RS (for Serbia) and .ME (for Montenegro).
On January 27, 2012 in Serbia began the registration of domain names written in Cyrillic under the new (second) country code top-level domain .СРБ (.SRB in Cyrillic).
