Registration is not required for owners of an original work. Copyright protection is automatic and free from the moment a work is created. It is, however, possible to deposit a work in a depositary organization, including the State Institution "Intellectual Property Center" under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Duration: during the lifetime of the author, plus 70 years after his death.

Infringement: damages or compensation (the minimum and maximum amount is set by the Law).
