Aruba does not have a separate law on design protection in force. However, an industrial design can be protected as a design under the Trademark Ordinance of Aruba. The Netherlands extended the application of the Locarno Agreement on the International Classification for Industrial Designs to Aruba with effect from November 8, 1986. A separate law is in preparation.
