According to the currently available information, all the applications filed for the OAPI countries from July 8, 1998, extensively cover Guinea-Bissau, but the necessary provisions relating to the extension of prior OAPI’s trademarks to Guinea-Bissau are still missing, since the relevant regulations are not yet available.
In fact, it is expected that a substantial time may still elapse until the required regulations come into force.
