General Remarks

Uruguay is a small South American Republic. Its main industrial and other products are: fisheries, meat packing, cattle, hides, leather goods, wool, rice, soya, wheat, corn, sugar, synthetic fibers, textiles, etc. Church and State are separate and there is complete religious tolerance. Laws protect foreign investments and capitals, and imports, reinforcing also measures against “trademark piracy counterfeited and fake goods”.
